What is The Substance?
The Substance is a podcast aiming at being Biblical, Thoughtful, and Human. We have bi-weekly shows that seek to engage the culture without the culture war. You can enjoy a variety of show types, from longform "Reflects" for a deeper dive on a particular topic, Substantive Media for engagement with films, books and albums, and Topic Toss up for listener engagement and a more free-flowing conversation. While we approach our subjects as Christians, we do so in a way that's accessible and welcoming to all faith backgrounds.

The podcast core is coming from a Christian point of view but it is not preachy. The hosts (Vincent, Trevor, & Phillip) have great chemistry & they don’t talk over each other. Sound quality is great and the podcast is well produced so you don’t get distracted from the topic by subpar sound quality and background noises. You also hear different point of views from the hosts so they don’t agree all the time. Each episode is a little over an hour or longer and it goes pretty fast.
